Hey, I'm Erika!

I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (she/her)

Step into my office! This is where you might sometimes see my dog, Birdie, during sessions.

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Qualified Supervisor, Certified Trauma Therapist, and Accelerated Resolution Therapy practitioner.

There has to be a spark when working with a Therapist. It’s known that we make progress with someone we feel connected and who can understand. Clients that find me are usually in need of a deeper experience and very analytical of their emotions. I tend to work a lot with professionals.

My style is less textbook and more of a modern approach- I offer a warm and challenging space, guiding you through a process filled with deep reflection—both silent and spoken—to find your rhythm. It’s about giving the brain new options and maybe a new view point. I believe in a highly collaborative method. Humor and joy are also a way I like to balance out the serious nature of the work we do.

Respect, Safety, Trust, Consent, and Curiosity are a must. You don’t need to bring anything other than you and get cozy in a quiet place. You will typically see me in my zen space with my coffee in a funky mug and my water.

My objective is to help you with peace of mind, body, and spirit. If you don’t have the words or just feel exhausted from telling your story, we can use a processing approach that focuses on sensations and images just using your brain! Images are very powerful to us. We all have a collection of stories and some of those core beliefs from those stories need tending to with support. This type of work is not easy and some times can feel relieving but also uncomfortable.

Emotional wounds can be further supported with practices of creative expression like nutrition, quiet time, journaling, nature, and music. I love to talk about all of these things. Holistic or other referrals can also be discussed. I draw from my professional and personal experiences to serve as your curious guide, not just a listener. If you read further down you’ll see my many interests I can’t live without.

I work individually with adults that are struggling with the following:

unresolved trauma, traumatic stress (developmental and shock), addiction, body image concerns, grief and loss, motherhood, family issues, life transitions, dating and relationship challenges, and diverse relationship dynamics. I have experience with Naval personnel, First Responders and others in the helping/healing sector. I am an LGBTQ+ affirming therapist and support transgender and gender-questioning clients.

Licensed since 2019, I have worked in counseling and trauma since 2016 and as a social worker since 2012. I can only take you as far as I’ve gone myself. Therapy can be a deep and powerful experience with professional guidance.

So where should we begin?

ABout me

I am a native Floridian from South Florida and I moved to North Florida in 2007. I enjoy gardening, reading, traveling, minimalism, documentaries, cooking, physical movement, outdoor activities, thrifting, spending time with family, do-it-yourself projects and painting.

I received a Bachelor of Arts of Criminal Justice and a Minor in Studio Art from the University of North Florida and a Masters in Social Work from Florida State University. I have worked with all walks of life.

Moon and Palm started as a vision to reach others in a way that you are not just in a venting session with a practitioner. The two images you will see includes the palm: a palm of a hand, or a palm tree. My belief is that healing can come through many forms, the power we hold in our own hands and the power of nature that resembles balance, wisdom, peace and eternal life. The palm along with the moon are in a relationship to represent enlightenment and regeneration.

I’ve responded to the calling to be a healer to others. I come from a family of medical practitioners and believe our outside is a reflection of what’s happening on the inside . This type of work takes courage, time, making adjustments, and trust building.

This is Birdie!

If you do Telehealth sessions with ME, she tends to make an appearance.

I also assist with writing letters for emotional support animals. This gives people a “PEACE” of mind while traveling or living in rental spaces.

Animals are a great way for us to feel safe, loved and supported in all of stages of change.

see services page FOR MORE INFO ON ESA Letters.

how we can work together

We can focus on ways to bring ease, empowerment and harmony back into your life. Together we can recover and uncover aspects of your life that may have been hidden.

I would like to help you find things that inspire you to regenerate mind, body and spirit.

I believe it is important to have a connection with your therapist, this includes healthy expectations. It’s important that we honor time boundaries with each other and remain open-minded to all of what may present in session. Remember this work is about you and I’m here to help you in a safe and meaningful way.
